I believe we are all here for a reason

We each have unique gifts to bring to the world.

We are born naturally shining our light.

But as we grow, many of us start to dim ourselves – consciously or unconsciously.  My own brand of diminishment largely centered on people-pleasing, perfectionism, and feeling like an imposter.  It took working with an executive coach to realize I was like a puppy chasing its tail: I contorted myself so people would like me; and then believed all of my successes were solely due to the fact that… people liked me.  It was an impossible bind.  Meanwhile, like a puppy chasing its tail, I was left feeling exhausted from all this pleasing, perfecting, and performing.

In my late-30s, I was on a business trip in the Middle East when my voice was literally silenced during a high-level business meeting.  I realized I was the only woman at the table; with all the other women sitting near the door.  Like me, they didn’t even get to introduce themselves.  I stewed in anger for the rest of the trip… until I realized how much I had been silencing myself for decades.  Since then, I have been on a journey around what it means to speak my voice and stand in my power.  And I’m inspired to help others do the same.

My passion as an executive coach is to help leaders find their highest calling and step into their true, authentic sacred power.

I work with visionaries and change makers who have a hunch that we are all here at this time for a purpose, and each of us has a part to play in the world we long to create.  To heal the challenges in our world, we need more diversity in our leadership and in the coaching space.  I truly believe that when women, especially women of color, step into our true, authentic power we will see a massive shift in our world.

I have nearly two decades of experience working with leaders in the corporate and non-profit space through my work as a strategy consultant and executive coach.

My approach working with both organizations and individuals begins by asking: “What matters most?”  From there, we identify a North Star and collaboratively design the highest impact ways to reach their goal.  These solutions are rooted in core values, built on evidence of what works, and refined through experimentation and rapid testing.  I bring my head and heart to this work, and am passionate about working with leaders who are quite literally transforming our world for the better.

I graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, majoring in History.

As a lifelong student in history, I believe that if we don’t understand our history, we unconsciously repeat it.  When I work with clients 1:1, we begin by looking back your childhood, to times in your life when standing in their power and shining their light brightly was the norm.  We learn to reconnect with that wilder, wiser self.

I have two Masters degrees from Columbia University: an MBA and an MA of International Affairs.

I love bridging seemingly disparate pieces to create a more powerful whole.  My clients often come to me with decades of practice honing their intellect and mind.  Yet they come longing to bring more soul into their leadership and day-to-day life.  My integrative approach bridges mind, body, and soul to help my clients lead more powerfully and authentically from their whole self.

My true education and impetus for my calling was working in India for five years, building a radical new model of maternal health care.

We served low-income women, putting respect for our customers front-and-center, and determined to grow sustainably so we weren’t reliant on donor funding.  During my time there, we launched ten maternity hospitals and were featured in publications like The Economist and Forbes.  However, I also realized that strategy can only get us so far.  This is why in my roles as consultant and coach, I bridge strategy with what it actually takes to put that strategy into action: systems thinking, human psychology, and strong data feedback loops and cultural contexts.

I received advanced training and certifications in the Science of Improvement and coaching.

I am a trained Improvement Advisor, using the Model for Improvement to guide governments, organizations, and individuals in achieving their goals.  There’s a science around improvement, and I use this methodology in each of my offerings.  I earned my Professional Co-Active Coach Certification (CPCC) credential from the Coaches Training Institute.  As a trained True Purpose practitioner, I use a tested methodology that has helped thousands of leaders find their purpose.  As a trained Spiral Leadership facilitator, I lean into the power of feminine leadership to heal our world.

I am passionate about authentic leadership and living a purpose-driven life

and have spoken on this topic at TEDx, Yale, MIT, Columbia, Sarah Lawrence, and at various international women’s groups.  I live in Seattle with my husband, toddler and infant, who are my true teachers in standing in our sacred power.

We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.

At the heart of my coaching lies my deep commitment to champion voices that have been silenced and deemed unworthy.

I dream a world where everyone feels safe to speak their truth, empowered to share their stories, and connected through the divinity within that reminds us, above all, to love one another.

When you work with me, know you are contributing to transforming and healing our world.  I donate 10% of all yearly revenue from my Sacred Power program to Together Rising, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by activist and author Glennon Doyle, which is committed to transforming collective heartbreak into effective action.  100% of what Together Rising receives goes directly to an individual, family, or cause in need -- which has included supporting families struggling to pay rent and buy groceries during the COVID- 19 pandemic, protecting detained children and reuniting families separated at our borders; and providing food, shelter, and warmth for refugees in Europe.

In her memoir, Untamed, Glennon Doyle writes:

“When I was a child, I felt what I needed to feel and I followed my gut and I planned only from my imagination.  I was wild until I was tamed by shame.  Until I started hiding and numbing my feelings for fear of being too much.  Until I started deferring to others’ advice instead of trusting my own intuition.  Until I became convinced that my imagination was ridiculous and my desires were selfish…Until I buried who I was in order to become what I should be.  I lost myself when I learned how to please.”Sound familiar?  She goes on to ask: “Will we be brave enough to unlock ourselves?  Will we be brave enough to set ourselves free?  Will we finally step out of our cages and say to ourselves, to our people, and to the world: Here I Am.

Here. We. Are.

We rise, together.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

“I’ve quite literally witnessed a shift in myself – in my restored attunement with myself, in my improved work-life balance, and even in my communication with my loved ones.

Tricia’s coaching makes me feel like she is truly right alongside me in this journey.  I decided to invest in the Sacred Power program because I felt like Tricia’s coaching kept me in the driver’s seat of my own life, with Tricia acting as a GPS showing me the various paths available to take and guiding me along the way.  In other words, she honored my individuality, but provided sincere guidance and exercises that weren’t overly complicated or “one size fits all,” but that were immediately actionable and more of a “try this on for size” approach.  It is truly an honor to work with her; I literally tell everyone I know, “You need a Tricia in your life!”

“I no longer feel alone in my desire for more meaning, purpose and working in new ways.

In this new life of Sacred Power, I feel that I have people in my corner that want me to succeed and that is powerful and means so much. “

– Grace A., Assistant Director, Non-Profit, Long Island, NY

“After our work together I feel more calm, in control, and purposeful.

I left the corporate world shortly before becoming a mom, and before my work with Tricia, I was dissatisfied with the direction in my life (or, more accurately, the lack thereof). And I felt immense pressure to figure out what I wanted to do once I go back into the workforce.  From my very first coaching session, Tricia asked all the right questions — the big, important questions that I never thought to ask myself. Talking with Tricia helped me get past the nagging “should haves” and “could haves” that were clouding my ability to see my purpose.. Best of all, Tricia and always made sure to challenge me with practical action steps that brought me out of my comfort zone, and that helped me learn a great deal about what I’m meant to be doing. “

“More confidence in myself and no longer limiting myself to mediocrity.

As a result of the Sacred Power program, I learned that I do not have to not limit myself to mediocrity.  I can make anything possible as long as I believe in it and am willing to do the work.  I now have more confidence in myself and know that I should not fear challenges in life.  Knowing not to take any “bullshit” and learning how to say “no” has been transformative.  Thank you, Tricia. “
